Schuyler was beat. She had just trained Twilight Sky in the since of getting him to trust her and let her touch him. She was in love with the stallion, but she had never realized they were so much work. She had just mucked out his stall, laid fresh straw down; put a can of feed for him, two buckets of water, and a hay sack. He was out in the pasture right now, and getting him in here without loosing the trust she had gotten him to place in her was going to be hard. It had taken six of the other students out into the training pen. She climbed the stairs back into the hayloft to put the extra hay back into its place. She turned with her back to the haystack and fell backwards, landing on the hay. It was a little itchy, but if you got passed those expects, it was quite comfortable. She rolled onto her side, her back now to the stairs, and brought her hands up to her, laying her head on them, she curled into a ball. How strange she must have looked there, a gothic ball on a haystack in a horse stable. She probably seemed completely out of place, but she didn’t care. She was out of place everywhere she went. She began to get homesick and was starting to miss her three friends, well four now if you count the girl she had met in the lounge, Ly. She felt a tear go down her pale face and closed her eyes, continuing to lay there in the awkward, lonely silence. It wouldn’t be long until someone found her and ruined her alone time, as Ly had in the lounge. But she wasn’t really complaining, as she liked Ly. And she could even grow to like a few other people; if they didn’t take her for a gothic freak that was.

Shannyn sighed softly as she wandered through the barn. Why was she even here? She did not even have a horse yet. She wondered absently if she would get in trouble for being here without any reason. Well, she could lie and say that she was looking for someone or something like that. Actually she only knew one other person here and they had just started to get to know each other. Ok, that was wrong, she knew of two people here. Ly and Maryclair. Neither were really people anyone would expect her to even talk to. Honestly she had had friends that were complete opposites from her. She looked around and spotted the stairs leading to the hayloft. She liked the smell of hay and horses quite a bit. Sort of a soothing smell, to her at least. She climbed up the stairs not thinking that anyone else would be up there. She stopped short seeing a bunch of black curled up in the straw. Strange, but not uncommon. She continued to the top of the stairs wondering what the other was doing. Seemed like she was dozing, probably did not want any intrusions. Seemed like peace and quiet would be a hard thing to get around here since it seemed like more and more people where arriving every minute and with them horses. She could not really complain about the more horses. She liked watching them romp though she craved her own. Though as more people came problems would be likely to start coming to the surface. At least so far the two people she had met were decent and she could get along with them. Her gaze had started to wander before it dawned out her that it probably seemed a little odd that she was just standing there at the top of the stairs zoning out. She shook her head shaking herself out of her inner thoughts and looked towards the girl before settling herself to sit down on the opposite side of the stairwell. “Sorry for intruding, my name is Shannyn Vuori by the way.” She said calmly trying to be nice and polite. She wondered if the girl would just ignore her or talk, either way would be fine just as long as she didn't try and start anything.

Schuyler had began to drift off, dreaming about riding Twilight Sky, her eyes started flickering but popped open again as she heard a creak in the stairs. She sighed and sat up a little, brushing hay off of her clothes and pulling it out of her hair. She knew she honestly didn’t care, but what sort of first impression would that make? Unless it was Ly of course, she knew she wouldn’t mind. She looked over when she heard the voice, that wasn’t Ly’s voice. She saw a girl allot like herself, just shorter hair that was a reddish color, and a bit of white, other then that she was a gothic type chick like herself. She couldn’t help but smile, she figured she would be the only like that here. Well, she certainly had intruded Schuyler’s thoughts, and about to be dreams, but she didn’t care. After meeting Ly, she didn’t like to be alone, it was crazy. She nodded, “I’m Schuyler Van Alen, most call me Sky though. Whatever you prefer. And don’t mind about intruding. Its not like I have anything better to do, with Twilight grazing in the pasture at least.” She would have to go and train him in the riding arena to get him halter broke so she could bring him to his stall later today. Although he wouldn’t get any points from it. She smiled thinking about the red dun stallion, he had quickly become her best friend and favorite obsession. She was going to get another mare soon, but that would be a while yet. Her mother had bought Twilight Sky for her, and although she figured she would hate owning a horse, let alone be around them, she absolutely loved it. She looked at the girl. “Do you have a horse?” If she did she would invite her to go on trails with her and Ly later on when they got their horses trained. Schuyler half way wondered if Ly’s horse had come in yet, she was horse crazed and deserved to have another horse, it wasn’t her fault those rejects had killed her horse from before. Although she must be hurting bad from it…

Shannyn's gaze had begun to wander yet again. She really would have to work on that if she wanted to keep friends. Though her friends back home did not seem to mind her short attention span since it normally was redirected as soon as someone started talking to her. She nodded calmly as the other spoke her name. Schuyler Van Alen or rather Sky? She seemed like a nice person to know; of course she had been wrong about these things before. "Feel free to call me Vuori." She said after a minute. Would Sky know about Jussi Vuori the drummer of The 69 Eyes? Quite a wonderful band, though it was odd sharing a last name with someone like that, it sometimes got a little annoying that everyone just had to know if she was related to him. She really did not know herself, though it would be kind of awkward. She twitched her head sharply to one side when her bangs fell in front of her face. That always happened at the worst of times. "No, I want to get one soon but I'm too picky on the horse I want." She said calmly. Yeah, that was a major drawback. She'd be quite happy with any horse, but she really just wanted a paint gaited horse. She could settle for a solid colored gaited horse though, as long as it wasn't a chestnut or bay. She had had some bad problems with them when she had been learning to ride. So Sky had a horse? "What's your horse like?" She asked curiously. She knew that most owners loved to talk of their horses. She knew she would anyways and a couple friends had been the same way. She sighed again as her bangs fell in front of her face yet again, she would need to get a hair-cut soon, maybe back to the short spikes she had had before growing it out? She'd have to think about that.
