Vampires Welcome
Chapter 1 The Beginning
The young looking woman set down the pencil she had been using on the pad of paper she had been scribbling on. She glanced around her and her gaze settled on the foggy window in front of her. She sighed softly and stood up stretching with an inhuman grace. She looked out the window calmly. She was satisfied for the night. She lifted her hand and ran it through her long dark red hair. Her bright green eyes seemed to dance in the faint light from the stars and crescent moon. Her gaze darted to the east checking to see if the sun was close to rising. “Where has this night gone?” She asked stroking the small black kitten that had jumped onto the windowsill. She picked up the tiny creature and cuddled it gently. Smiling so that the tips of her fangs barely showed as she scratched the little creature’s chin. She hissed in surprise as the kitten started to squirm and scratch at her flawless skinned arms. She looked around suddenly realizing that there was someone else in her room. She looked around unsure of what was going on. Bending over she gently sat the yowling kitten on the floor and watched it dash off. She focused her eyes to try and peer through the dark that was slowly lightening. She turned and fled through the open door of the room she had been in. “Zoya,” came an ethereal voice from somewhere in the house Zoya stopped dead in her tracks and looked around. Not many knew her name. She only chose to impart that special knowledge to those that she could trust. “Jorus” Alil? Are one of you there?” Her voice breaking the stillness of the air. She turned around and bumped into something large and furry. She held back a scream of surprise. She looked up and stepped backwards. “Jorus, please say that’s you or Alil.” She murmured quietly. She looked over the werewolf trying to figure out it the creature was her friend Alil, or her lover Jorus. “Who are you?” Zoya demanded as she leapt backwards to avoiding being impaled by the wolf’s long claws. She looked up fearfully. This was her lover. Never had they fought at all. Even when they had first met. “Jorus, please it’s me Zoya.” She whimpered quietly still dodging the ferocious wolf claws and teeth. “I know.” Came a deep, growling voice from the werewolf. Zoya looked into the wolf’s eyes and noticed a fearful and pleading look. Jorus was never known to be scared of something. “Then why do you attack me? I thought we agreed that vampires and werewolves were not fit to be enemies but our war is with the humans?” She said as she tripped and fell the ground on her back. “I’ve come to see things in a different light, Zoya.” He snarled and leapt pinning the vampire to the ground with one massive paw on her neck. He started to put all his weight onto the paw to strangle Zoya.

Chapter 2 Not Good
Zoya grappled with the huge paw on her neck. She couldn’t hurt her beloved Jorus. She sighed and looked up pleadingly into the wolven face of her lover. “Jorus, please, you know you don’t want to do this.” She said pleadingly. This wasn’t the real Jorus. He would never hurt her. Jorus looked around dazedly hearing a loud thumping sound that seemed to echo from everything. He yelped in pain suddenly as he was lifted bodily away from his prey by a young light brown she-werewolf. “Alil.” Zoya whispered quietly as her long-time friend helped her up. “No! He’s not himself Alil, don’t hurt him, he doesn’t mean to be like this!” She yelled grabbing onto her friend’s arm. She glanced out the window as she did so. A high-pitched shriek emanated from her body. It was almost dawn. Zoya pulled her friend with all her strength and then ran at Jorus shoving him roughly. “Forgive me Jorus.” She whispered as she fled out the door towards her basement. She shut and barricaded the thick steel door that protected her resting place by day. Nobody knew about this place. Not even Alil. She jumped hearing a mewing. She had forgotten the kitten liked to stay with her during the day for some reason. She sighed softly. At least it was pure dark down here and she need not go to her coffin quite yet. She started to weep as she started to set down silver spikes should her door be breached. She did not want to do this one bit. When she was finished she checked on the kitten’s food and water before walking towards her large black coffin. She sighed and lifted the lid effortlessly and slid in quietly. She adjusted herself slightly before reaching over and pulling the lid over her. She rested quietly before realizing that there was a hammering sound as if someone was beating on her door. She tried to move but the normal paralysis of sleep was coming over here. She couldn’t move more than to just brush the hair out of her eyes. She sighed and heard a wrenching noise as if the door had been torn off of its hinges. She tried her hardest to fight the paralysis but slowly drifted to sleep as she felt her coffin suddenly be picked up as if it only weighed as much as a feather. Zoya gave herself over to the sleep resigning herself to her fate. She could only hope that what carried her would not expose her to sunlight or anything else to destroy her. _________________ Chapter 3 Delving Deeper
Zoya stirred and blinked groaning slightly. She jerked forward instinctively shoving her hands against the lid of her coffin. She winced slightly feeling her forehead connect with the lid instead of it opening. She grumbled to herself and shoved upward with both of her hands as forcefully as she could. There was a sickening wrenching sound before she had realized that her coffin had been chained to prevent her from leaving her coffin. She continued to push upwards trying to get out of the coffin. She finally broke the chains with her immense strength and gazed around trying to figure out where she was. She stood up and stepped daintily out of her coffin and reached down to dust off her pants. Zoya froze hearing a deep growl come from behind her. She was about to turn when a massive paw was suddenly resting on her neck. “Move and I’ll take your head off.” Came a deep voice right next to her ear. She flinched slightly at the sound. “Malfus.” Zoya breathed. This was not good. Malfus had been her lover as human. She had thought that he had died long ago. After all she had become a vampire almost a thousand years ago. “Yes my dear Zoya.” He whispered into her ear leaning closer to her. Zoya started to struggle violently but couldn’t manage to break the hold of her captor. She turned her head and looked at Malfus. She gulped a little. “I know, this is what happens when you get bit by werewolf after being turned into a vampire.” He said dangerously looking over Zoya calmly. “Malfus let me go now, I don’t want to hurt you.” Zoya said pleadingly jerking out of his hand with all of her strength. She flinched a little hearing him just laugh at her. “Now, now Zoya, I am much stronger than some common vampire.” He said harshly as he slapped her face causing her to fly across the room and smash into a concrete wall. He simply laughed as she screamed in pain. “Zoya, become my bride and this pain will all stop.” He said as he advanced towards her slowly. “No, I promised that I would stay with Jorus once we found a cure for either the lycantrophy or vampirism!” She yelled out defiantly. She screamed in pain as he trod on her out-stretched legs. “If I can’t have you then nobody will.” He said with a snarl. He smirked slightly hearing her scream. “Nobody can save you either. Not your precious Jorus or your friend Alil.” He said smirking as he trod on her other leg and stepped forward to stand on her hand. He relished in her pain. Zoya shook her head furiously as she looked up at Malfus pleadingly. She didn’t understand how this could work at all. How could there possibly be a cross between a werewolf and a vampire? They both looked over at the loud thumping that came from the wooden door. Zoya looked up and Malfus and curled up into a ball at the look on his face. “That should be the minister now, Zoya. You will be my bride no matter what.” He said calmly ignoring her antics.

Chapter 4 Married?
Zoya glared at Malfus viciously. She hated him now. Nothing seemed to be left of the old Malfus she had loved such a long time ago. "You've changed too much Malfus." She spat at him regaining her courage and she stood up. As she stood the door burst open showing the hulking figure of a werewolf in full transformation. Malfus sighed slightly as he looked from his bride-to-be and then at the door. "You're late and you're not supposed to be transformed." He snarled at the werewolf as he walked towards it. He stopped short and looked back and forth between Zoya and the werewolf. He suddenly started to laugh deeply. "Well Zoya it looks like your beloved Jorus is going to be the one to marry us and then watch us consumate the marriage." He said with an evil smirk. Zoya gasped slightly. There was no way that Jorus would do this to her. She ran towards him swiftly dodging around Malfus and threw her arms around his neck. "Jorus, please." She whispered quietly into his ears as tears streamed down her face. "I am sorry Zoya, he threatened to kill you if I didn't do this. I do not want you to be killed. I'm sorry dearest." He said holding her close. He glared at Malfus who had come closer and was pulling her away from him. He released his hold not wanting to harm Zoya. He growled deeply in his throat. "Don't you dare harm her Malfus or I swear I'll rend you limb from limb." He said dangerously not liking how Malfus carried Zoya like a ragdoll. "Shut up Jorus." Malfus commanded turning his head slightly. He set Zoya down on her coffin gently. "Now my dear, I'm going to have some maidens come in and dress you up nicely for the wedding. All of the lycans and vampires will be there to watch and you surely do not want to dissappoint them now do you?" He asked her calmly lifting her chin with his paw. Zoya simply glared at Malfus coldly. She didn't like what was going on. She would kill him. She glanced over at Jorus sadly. She did love him and did not blame him for not wanting her to be killed but yet. Her eyes brightened slightly. "Of course Malfus, may I have a few moments alone with Jorus first though? We will not do anything that would put our marriage in jeopardy." She asked sweetly. Malfus was curious about the change in Zoya but shrugged slightly. "As you wish my dear." He said with a smile and walked out the door calmly. Zoya smiled slightly and jumped down from her coffin and ran back into Jorus' arms. "Tomorrow night when we are to wed you must say that since I was a warrior of the vampires that it is only fitting that I wear a sword." She said calmly. She knew by the look in Jorus' eyes he knew where she was going. "Of course Zoya, anything for you." He said softly looking at her calmly. "I must go now." He said hearing a knock on the door. He got up and made his way out as five young maidens walked in with fabric in their arms.

Chapter 5 The Plan
Zoya watched the maidens coldly. She did not want this to happen but she knew it must if she and Jorus where to be happy together. She looked through the materials quickly knowing that she would be able to have her gown made exactly how she wanted it. "The black silk." She said pointing at the shiny fabric. She sighed softly and sat down. This wasn't the greatest plan of her's but at least Jorus knew what she needed. She jumped a little and looked around at the door as she heard it creak. "Malfus, I have chosen the fabric I desire. I just need a pencil and some paper to plan how I want the dress." She said in a false cheery voice. She smiled gratefully as he gave her what she had asked for. She quickly started to sketch her idea for the dress. She looked up at Malfus' question about the little belt she had drawn in on the dress. "My darling, it would not be a true wedding if I was not allowed to bear my sword, and I refuse to carry any other. After all, I am a warrior and it would be seen as an insult if I was married without my sword." She said sweetly trying to get him to agree. She smiled softly when he said yes. "Thank you my darling Malfus." She said with a false smile. She handed her design over to the seamstress and turned to look out the window to see how much longer until daybreak. She gasped a little seeing to tint of dawn already. "I'll see you in the evening Malfus." She said calmly and strode towards her coffin. She jumped a little when Malfus rushed past her and sat down on the lid of her coffin. "Malfus, are you trying to kill me?" She asked curiously. She knew she only had scant minutes to get within the safety of her coffin. _________________________ Chapter 6 Coffins
Malfus simply pointed towards a large alcove in the back. Zoya stared at it slightly uncomphrending what it could mean. She shook her head calmly. "I sleep alone Malfus." She said calmly. She winced at his tone and then again when he picked her up. Ok this wasn't good. She didn't like the thought of sleeping in a coffin with another being. "Malfus, darling, please let enjoy my last night as a maiden in the comforts of my own coffin. We'll have an eternity to sleep together once we're wedded." She said trying to get him to give in. "Fine Zoya, but tomorrow night, you're mine." He said with a slightly greedy look in his small dark eyes. He set her down on the floor calmly and continued own his own out the door. Zoya sighed softly in relief before turning and running. She basically threw herself in her coffin. She lay there calmly waiting for the sleep to take over her body but it never did. Random thoughts started to pass through her head, each more far-fetched than the last. Was she dead? Was she human again? Did Malfus have a special protection over this place? Was she just so old of a vampire that the sun didn't have the usual spell over her? Eventually her curiousity got the better of her. She rose from her coffin and looked around the room. Everything had been closed off. What could this possibly mean? Zoya spun around hearing a hammering noise and saw Jorus boarding up the last window in the room. She ran towards him swiftly hugging him around his neck. Jorus was easily the handsomest person if he wasn't transformed or transforming. "Jorus, please say you will be able to find my sword for tonight." She asked her lover calmly. "Of course, I took it with me when....we.....erm.....captured you." He said, his voice breaking up a little remembering that he himself had almost hurt his beloved Zoya. "Don't worry about it Jorus, but I am glad you got my sword." She said looking at him calmly. They both turned around hearing a sickening crunch behind them and then a dull roar as if something had caught on fire.
